This fabulous cocktail ring is set with 50 sapphires of Thai origin weighing an approximate total of 17 carats, interspersed with 31 single-cut and brilliant cut diamonds with a total approximate weight of 0.40 carats.
The ring is set in a bold ‘boule’ design, with the stones mounted close together in unmarked 18 carat white gold (tested) setting. The sapphires have a slight variation in colour from a cornflower blue through to a deeper, more intense hue. The continuous blue of the sapphires is punctuated with flashes of brightness from diamonds.
The underside of the ring has an elegant pierced design leading to a slim shank, and is currently sized to US 6.5 (M.5) but may be resized with ease. We believe it was made in America around the 1960s.
This is a fun ring on a dramatic scale which would look as good with jeans as it would with a cocktail dress.
