A pair of early Art Nouveau hair combs made from blonde tortoiseshell set with natural pearls to an unmarked gold mount.
The fleur de lis design of these combs has the flowing lines associated with the Art Nouveau movement, and the simplicity and elegance of the design speaks of the early years of this style.
The combs are in good condition with one glue repair to a broken prong. Due to the nature of the mounting it has not been possible to test the gold.
The curved combs each measure 14.2cm in length and 5.5cm in width, and weigh 28.13 grams in total.
