An 18 karat (18K) yellow gold pendant designed as a round medal depicting the Virgin Mary with a halo. Signed with three unrecognised initials. Stamped with the eagle's head for 18 karat gold and French manufacture with an unknown maker's mark. The reverse depicts a pilgrim praying to the Madonna with the phrase 'Je Suis L'immaculee Conception' as a halo around the Madonna's head. The word Lourdes to the side, and the Basilica of Lourdes in the distance.
