A French 18 carat yellow gold ring set with 18 round single-cut diamonds within gold ropework borders, flanked by mulberry wood shoulders. This ring design was made by Van Cleef & Arpels and was known as the ‘Philippine’ ring.
Although this ring bears none of that house’s marks, it does show indications of having been resized, during the process of which any signature may have been lost.
The diamonds weigh an estimated total of 0.60 carats and are set in 18ct yellow gold stamped with the French owl poinçon. The entire ring weighs 3.84 grams and measures 6.5 mm at its widest point.
Currently a size M (US 6.25), this ring may be sized up or down very slightly.
