A French 18 karat (18K) gold charm pendant designed as a rose gold medal depicting a yellow gold holy chalice or goblet with a white gold communion wafer above, radiating light to celebrate a First Communion. The chalice is flanked by a grain of wheat to represent the bread and a grapevine to represent the wine. The edges of the medal are scolled and foliate with pierced sections and floral motifs in yellow gold. The reverse is engraved with the name 'Berthe-Miram' and the date '14 Mai 1902'. Stamped with the eagle’s head for French manufacture and 18 karat gold and an unknown maker's mark.
