An unusual and very elegant Edwardian ruby and diamond cluster ring, set with a 1.20 carat old mine cut diamond, surrounded by calibre cut rubies. The gold shank is bifurcated and scrolls up to meet the pierced gallery of the head of the ring.
The old mine cut diamond is VS clarity and I-J colour, and is estimated to weigh 1.20 carats.
The 24 rubies are natural, probably Burmese in origin, and are estimated to have a total weight of 0.65 carats.
The ring is marked 18 for 18 carat gold.
