A French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold and lab created blue spinel love charm pendant with a rebus spelling out "Plus qu'hier, moins que demain" ("More than yesterday, less than tomorrow") - a line taken from the love poem written by Rosemonde Gerard to her husband (the author of Cyrano) in 1889.
The word "plus" is symbolised by a plus sign set with five single-cut diamonds with an approximate weight of 0.05 carats, and the word "moins" by a minus sign set with three rectangular cut synthetic blue spinels with a total carat weight of approximately 0.06 carats.
The medal is surrounded by a halo or border of 22 round cut synthetic blue spinels (total approximate weight 2.20 carats) within a gold frame of intersecting arches set with eight carre-cut synthetic blue spinels (total approximate weight 3 carats).
Signed A.A. for Augis, stamped with the owl mark for French import and a makers mark.
