A delightfully pretty pendant centering on a pear-shaped cabochon of white opal with good play of colour ranging from vivid reds and oranges through to hints of green and violet. The opal is set in a platinum mount and suspended within a garland frame of amethyst flowers and diamond leaves, set in gold and platinum respectively.
The pendant is surmounted by a charming platinum and diamond bow in true Belle Epoque style with a diamond set pendant bail (loop). The gemstones are millegrain set throughout.
There are 64 rose cut diamonds throughout this charming piece with an estimated total weight of 1.30 carats, and 42 old cut amethysts with a total weight of 1.20 carats. The opal measures 2.5cm x 1.7cm and weighs approximately 8 carats.
The pendant measures 5cm in length and is 3cm wide. It weighs 10.45g.
