An extraordinary and rare French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold lucky love pendant designed as a circle centering on a lucky four-leaved clover or shamrock with a quatrefoil design around it, each quadrant set with a mistletoe leaf. The flanking lobes of the quatrefoil show a field of forget-me-not flowers to one side and ivy leaves to the other. Above and below the clover leaf the words 'SEMPER FIDELIS' meaning 'always faithful'.
Ivy leaves symbolise eternity, mistletoe for love, clover for hope or luck and forget-me-nots for remembrance of love. The whole comes together to symbolise enduring love and constancy with hope and a promise for the future.
