Delivery and Shipping Costs
Waiting can be frustrating… especially when it comes to splendid new sparkles! Here at ShinyPrettyThings we totally get that - so we’ve sat down and worked out the best way to get your sparkly goodness into your hands as fast as possible. And because we don’t believe in over-complicating things, we decided to provide free standard shipping, worldwide - to all our customers.
UK OrdersUK orders are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery™ and will be in your hands by 1pm the next working day.
International OrdersInternational orders will be sent by Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed Services and will be with you between 2-6 working days according to your location. We will only ship to those countries where packages are both tracked and signed for as we feel this offers the best security for you and your sparkle.
Can't Wait?If you simply can’t wait that long to receive your sparkle - and we perfectly understand if you can’t - we can also send your lovely new piece to you by FedEx. This has a flat charge of £50 per shipment – just tick the “I need it now!” option at checkout to add this service to your order.
Fedex also ships to those areas that Royal Mail Tracked and Signed can’t reach, so if you’re ordering from a particular country, this option is automatically selected for you. All part of the service!
01 We are unable to redirect orders once they’re in the shippers hands.
02 All items are fully insured in transit and are sent at our risk.
03 Once dispatched, we will contact you with your sparkle tracking details.
04 All orders will require a signature upon receipt.
05 If you have purchased multiple items, we will do our best to package them together, but in some cases they will need to be shipped separately. In this case you will need to sign for each package individually.
06 Sparkles will be shipped as soon as possible within 48 hours of receipt of payment. Please note, we do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or UK Bank Holidays.
07 We do not ship to any postal box addresses.
08 If you have chosen to get your sparkle sent to your work address (and who wouldn’t want to show off something that fabulous to their colleagues), then it will be delivered to your office reception rather than to you directly.
09 If your order is returned to us because the courier or postal service couldn’t complete your delivery for whatever reason (you went on holiday without us??), then you will be responsible for the repeat delivery costs. We’ll get in touch with you first of course – just to make sure you had a lovely time away!
ReturnsHere at ShinyPrettyThings we believe that our sparkles offer the very best in quality – we feel you deserve nothing less. We do understand that buying jewellery online can be a difficult decision and we want to support you in this process. Because of this we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you feel that your chosen piece doesn’t match up to your expectations, we offer a full money-back guarantee on your purchase.
Obviously, we have to set a few conditions with this, so…
01If you intend to return your sparkle, please contact us within 3 business days of receipt to let us know that you are going to do so.
02 You will then need to return the item/s to us in their original packaging within another 48 hours via a secure and insured service, at your expense. We recommend FedEx, but accept other options!
03 If you are returning an item from outside the EU, the original customs label, CN22 or CN23, or the original Commercial Invoice (if sent by FedEx), must be stuck to the outside of the returned package. You must also return the package from the country it was originally shipped to. Failure to do so may result in our being charged a non-refundable customs clearance fee and VAT at 20%. If this happens, we regret that we will have to deduct these costs from your refund.
04 Items must be returned to us in the same condition as they were shipped – we cannot accept returns for a refund that have been worn, damaged, broken or altered in any way. If you happen to notice any problems with your item on arrival, please do let us know immediately.
06 Please note that if any alterations have been made to your jewel – including ring sizing – then we will be unable to accept it as a return. This counts even if our jeweller did the work, as the piece would class as a custom item.
07 We will refund the full purchase price of the item within 30 days of receiving it at Sparkle Towers. This refund will come to you in the same way as your original payment. If you paid via credit card, please allow a few days for the refund to be processed by your issuing bank.
Layaway ReturnsWe do allow returns on layaway goods, but we can’t give you a full refund as we will have held the item for you for up to 3 months. What we can do is give you a store credit for the full amount (less any applicable shipping costs). If you decide to cancel your layaway prior to full payment then all payments already made will become store credit for you to spend as you wish on another item. There is no expiry date on your credit with us!
If you don’t complete the layaway in time/pay in full, the sparkle will be returned to stock. Your deposit (25%) will be charged as a restocking fee and any remaining funds will be returned to you.
Customs, Duty & TaxesWe have no control over your local country’s customs department - but we can give the following advice:
01 If your item is over 100 years old it will be marked as ‘antique’. Most countries do not charge duty on this type of shipment.
02 You may be liable to pay local taxes on your imported goods. You will be able to find details on these rates on your country’s customs office website. If you get stuck, do get in touch and we’ll do our best to help!
03 Certain items cannot be imported to specific countries. In the most part, we have made a note on the item listing to make you aware of this, but if you are concerned please let us know.
