A very smart Art Deco brooch designed as a rectangular plaque of gold with truncated corners giving an octagonal outline, highlighted to the corners with arcs of green enamel and set with a large cabochon of turquoise.
The turquoise cabochon is banded throughout with its original ironstone matrix giving a textured appearance to the stone which contrasts beautifully with the clean surface of the gold ground. It is held in place by double claws which emphasis the Art Deco feel to this piece.
The vivid green enamel arch motifs to the corners of this brooch compliment the greenish-blue colour of the turquoise. The turquoise measures 20.5mm x 14.6mm x 8mm.
The brooch measures 4cm by 2.6cm and weighs 15.93g. It is stamped with the eagle’s head for 18ct gold and French manufacture. There is an unintelligible signature to the brooch mount.
An immensely stylish ring in the late 1930s style with architectural and geometric forms surmounted by a ridged diamond pavé-set bridge rising from a triangular shaped base inset with single cut diamonds. The shank tapers away from the top of the ring while maintaining that triangular outline, and is bordered to the top with pave-set diamond accents which continue to a platinum border on the sides and base of the shank.
A French silver target ring set with a coral bouton measuring 10.5mm in diameter surrounded by black lacquer to a silver mount. The shank of this ring has a foliate design with leaves and berries to the shoulders, while the underside of the ring itself is engraved with a garden scene… A charming secret for the owner! Circa 1930.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the beautiful necklace ShinyPrettyThings obtained for Ellie. She was so thrilled with it and I just know it will be precious to her always. The colour is so vivid and she was so thrilled to open it.
Over the past year or so ShinyPrettyThings has carefully assembled a beautiful collection of Jewellery pieces for me. Predominately rings and necklaces, each piece has been carefully chosen with my personal taste in mind. I like delicate details and period design, Georgian, early Victorian and a little Art Deco…this is just what ShinyPrettyThings has found for me. I love my new ruby and diamond pearl drop earrings that were so cleverly sourced to tie in with my other pieces. ShinyPrettyThings brings wonderful customer service and immense knowledge and attention to detail to each commission.
