A French 18 karat (18K) yellow and white gold and ruby love charm pendant with a rebus spelling out "Plus qu'hier, moins que demain" ("More than yesterday, less than tomorrow") - a line taken from the love poem written by Rosemonde Gerard to her husband (the author of Cyrano) in 1889.
The word "plus" is symbolised by a white gold plus sign, and the word "moins" by a minus sign set with two rectangular cut synthetic rubies with a total carat weight of approximately 0.06 carats. The words of the rebus are highlighted with black enamel.
Stamped with the eagles head for 18 karat gold and French manufacture and Augis' makers mark.
